Make a mixture of baking soda, household ammonia or vinegar and water. Fill the stand with this solution and allow to stand for a while. After 15 minutes check to see has the dirt been removed, if it has simply rinse out. If not, allow it stand for some time more but maximum 45 minutes. After this time, your ceramic umbrella stand should be as good as new.
