Why Is It Very Important To Enhance Yourself In Today's Times?

At times, when all our doubts, fears and insecurities wrap ourselves up, we always get the idea of "I hope I had been somebody else." Usually, we think and feel that somebody or rather, most people are better than us. When in reality, the truth is, most people are more afraid than us. That's one reason there are so many books on self improvement.

We see a young business owner and say "Woo what else could he wish for?" He stares at himself at the mirror and murmur to himself, "I hate my big eyes I wonder why my buddies won't talk to me I really hope mom and dad would still work things out."

Don't you find it funny? We look at other folks, be jealous of them for being so outrageously perfect and wish we may trade places with them, while they look at us and thinks similar. We are insecure of other folks who themselves are insecure of us. We suffer from low self-esteem, lack of self-confidence and lose hope in personal development simply because we are enveloped in quiet desperation. Even the many of the self improvement books on our book shelves don't seem to help.

Sometimes, you see that you have an irritating habit such as biting off your finger nails, having a foul mouth, and you of all individuals, is the last to find out.

I have a buddy who never gets sick and tired of talking. And in most conversations, she is the only person who seems to be interested in the things she has to speak about. So all our other friends tend to stay away from the groups whenever she's around, and she doesn't realizes how badly she became socially handicapped, slowly affecting the people in her surroundings.

One step to self improvement is to Listen and Consult a reliable friend. Find somebody who you find comfort in opening up with even the most sensitive topics you wish to talk about. Ask questions like "do you think I am ill-mannered?", "Do I always seem so argumentative?", "Do I speak too loud?", "Do I have foul mouth?", "Do I ever bore you when were together?". In this way, the other person will certainly know that you are looking for the process of personal development. Lend her your ears for responses and criticisms and don't give her responses such as "Don't exaggerate! That's just the way I am!" Open up your mind and heart as well. And in return, you might want to help your friend with positive criticism which will also help her improve herself.

One of Whitney Houston's songs says "Learning to love yourself is the foremost love of all." True enough. As a way to love others, you should love yourself too. Remember, you cannot give what you do not have.

Stop thinking of yourselves as second-rate beings. Forget the similar thought of "If only I was wealthier, only if I was thinner" and the like. Accepting your true self is the initial step to personal development. We need to stop comparing ourselves to others only to know at the end that we've got 10 more reasons to envy them.

And you also don't even have to do it alone. There's a huge number of coaching products on the market to assist you get on.
